Hope Springs

Hope Springs

A Poem by David Angel M.

I am nothing
growing up alone in a world devoid
no one to teach me how to live

Yesterday I cried
learning the hard way
how to hide, what is deep within

Truth so close to the surface
yet easily disguised

tomorrow I am something?

Living a lie
inside there is no pride
smiling with the eyes, to hide the hurt inside

Maybe someday, I will learn to trust in another
to have a mature relationship, to have true intimacy

I like this, the emotional journey you are taking is an interesting one. So true that we can easily disguise what's under the surface. Nice write :-)

Truth so close to the surface yet easliy disguised, really like this. We are not always who we seem to be. The emotion in runs deep. Nice work :)
