chime

chime

A Poem by Amy Craig Beasley

rocking

back and forth

in the wind

swinging

and

twisting

here and there

the metal

chime

is

cool

reflecting

a cold heat

away

while

articulating in a

moon-like way

the suggestions

that

lie

on the tip

of the

sun-bathed tongue

of the wind

chime

chime

clink

click click

ding

He sounds

and resounds and

I listen

but

on this December

Day

I

can not

comprehend

a word

not even

one

word

of what he

has to say

the wind

the chimes

and I

side by side

by side

rifting

and twisting

and silent

so smooth

and

round

and cool

Maybe the chime is your poetic muse. Sometimes you can hear perfectly but at other times all you hear is a chime. Of course this is just this reader's interpretation, how your words made me feel as I read.
