horizon

horizon

A Poem by Amy Craig Beasley

watching on the horizon

the subtle

 movement

of the clouds

today

contrast

with

that

northern

star

fixed

in the heavens

I think that

that star

is there

so that

I can find

you

or rather

so that you

can chart a course

to me

but the waters

hold danger

and the

sands

on which I

stand

shift

and even

if you

find your

way

will I remain

here

for you

I feel my

hold

slipping

and

the

landslide

has

already begun

I love the imagery you've use, it paints a vivid picture inside my head which I rather enjoyed. I think this poem is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

I knew from your review that you were the kind of poet that I wanted to know. Your voice is as familiar as my own. And the depths that you've drawn here, I've struggled in before.

It's nice to find you.
