We Will Dream

We Will Dream

A Poem by Cat Tee
"

Studying turned wording

"
Learning to learn churns my yearning for something past these stern
Books need me to looks but I can't goddamn well concentrate with people still using words like "gooks"
This fight might seem run and done but I might just verbally reignite the right
Way to treat someone
Even if it seems I'm too young
But that's so dumb
To run from what needs to be begun because of some number.

A great man once held a dream.
Held the dreams of many.
And it seems those dreams have seeped through the seams of our nation
but his words scream that even through the difficulties of today and tomorrow he still will have the dream.
As we should.
As we will.
