Euphoria

Magnolia trees, grass, the stain of dark blue ink, alcohol, and destiny paved into the shady sidewalk that returns us back to our innocent pasts.

Sweet Sixteen, wafts of scent off the magnolia tree

Wet kisses shared tinted with the stench of alcohol

Recalled memories of innocence and depression

Shady pavements winding tirelessly towards uncertain futures

Bodies strewn across the freshly cut lawn

Pulsing with the warmth and excitement of life

And red cups littered over textbooks

College applications filled in with dark blue ink

Words like fate, destiny finally implemented

No longer dreamy, transparent ideas fetched from the movie theater

Bruises and unstoppable ticking clocks lined up for moments like this one

Those euphoric times of jubilation long gone

Obsess the mind of whom that strolls down the lane lined with

Magnolia trees.
