Girl

Girl

A Poem by Olivia Gray

There lived a girl once.

A girl with a big heart, light soul.

A girl who waited for a happiness that shall never come.

She lived by dreams that kept her going.

Her mind made her heart unknowing.

To protect the only one important.

That shone brighter than all of glories.

Making merry were her stories.

Belong to waiting she called herself.

But how much before give yourself?

She woke one night.

She had her face pale and bleak.

Knowing she should stop to seek.

She saw red, thick and dark.

She saw blade, sword and arc.

Army of the dead will never come.

Moon has for ever replaced the sun.

Disappeared has the only one.

A hollow spot remains.

How much longer before she dies?

I love the ryme scheme in this poem. You did a very good job putting it together so it still makes sense and not just focasing to make shure it rhymed. This poem is very dark and mysterious which i personally love. I expecailly like the last two stanzas great job on this masterpiece:)
