Lost Star part I

Lost Star part I

A Poem by Benitoo

I'm looking for a lost star
It fell from my necklace
The chain snapped and clink!
It bounced and rolled away.

With my hands in my pockets
I walk along rivers
searching for it, and
pretending to smoke.
Because there's something too
Depressing
about smoking alone.

I like it when it rains.
My hair sticks to my neck.
And the streetlights gaze sadly
Down empty streets.
Perpendicular waters disrupt each
other, murmuring in their
sleep.

Sometimes I see lights in the river
Glowing boat lights,
beneath the water.
They must be other stars
and I'm tempted to dive,
but they are not mine
nor ever shall.

Benitoo
Practicing, written pretty quickly and lightheartedly, with a distant gravity. I can't judge my own work. Is there anything you like about this?
