hypocrite

hypocrite

A Poem by Beren

I heard what you said about me
You present the times you laughed in my face as evidence
But they are just the black and white colors of your hypocrisy

You put my belongings in front of my door
You give my neighbors the dishes you polluted.
So everyone can think I run away after ringing the doorbell

I know who you really are.

I will not give up on vulnerability, because that's how I got real knives that you couldn't get with your fake shield
From real brave enemies.

You are not brave enough to be my enemy
And not honest enough to be my friend.

Paint your imaginary world any color you want,
there no sun after the rain will make a rainbow, in your world.

hypocrisy hits you in your face, when you see it and it's not a pleasant feeling. you write about this here in words that paints these feelings on a canvas of experiences.
these lines are truly fab!!

sad. the two faces of hypocrisy, like the comedy and tragedy masks.

deep, telling, memorable lines -

"You are not brave enough to be my enemy
And not honest enough to be my friend."

I still stand behind these lines... thank you so much for taking time to read and comment.
I LOVE your line, "You are not brave enough to be my enemy" I think this line could be such a great tool in life! Is it okay if I share your line with my 8th grade students?
