Modern Love Story

I'm sure we met in the 1800s

I think we were given to today's gods to complete an unfinished love

And we'll do it in the most anti-modern way possible.

We will swim into the future in an intoxicating nostalgia

We will run from the atmosphere,

leaving the mists of the past behind the clouds.

And we will remember that this is just a classic modern love story 

that is special only for us.

There is nothing to worry about all the things around us

"Ships don't sink because of the water around them. 

Ships sink because of the water that gets in them"

And the story is only about two selfish poets

A woman cries over a guy, and she starts to falling his eyes

A man will believe in impossible lies, until he can't stand without her love

They'll fight for each other, like every other lover did

And they'll kiss, like every ancestor before

Nothing special

This is just a modern love story, 

but it's ours.
