Heaven

Heaven

A Poem by Beth Wilcox

Earth is God's model made of clay,

where his children run and play.

Amazing things happen day after day,

everyone is incredible in their very own way.

I always wonder what heaven looks like.

Will I see unexplainable colors?

Or hear a lovely melody?

Will I see God right before my eyes?

Or will he wait to see me for a suprise?

Will he answer all my questions,

or just surround me with his love?

There's so many questions of the place above.

I like the poetic. It feels sweet and playful, yet mindful. I personally can't relate to the thoughts, as I'd like to believe God doesn't exist, cause if he does he sure has a lot of explaining to do to me for turning his back on all the horrors of humanity and doing nothing even though he could do everything. I don't think I want someone who willingly ignores suffer when they have the means to ease it. But perhaps that's just too much opinion for one comment. Sorry. I really like the poem, though.
