If I could do Anything

If I could do Anything

A Poem by Beth Wilcox

If I could do anything,

I'd let you look through my two eyes.

So you could see how you aren't perfect is nothing but lies.

I want you to see your perfect smile,

that sends my heart beating 100 mph.

I want you to look into your eyes and try not to lose your breath,

I want you to see what it's like to see you, through you being Beth.

If I could do anything,

I'd read your mind.

So I can skim inside.

Do you think I'm beautiful, wonderful?

Does my smile make your heart beat so fast, like at a track meet?

If I could do anything,

I'd stay with you forever.

Nothing would get better.
