SQUIRRELS

SQUIRRELS

A Poem by Dessi
"

WHAT I SAW

"
Walking for walking's sake
It keeps the hallucinations at bay
Stopping to rest, I see a squirrel
Twisting, flitting its tail halfway
'Tween the top and bottom of a tree,
A row of leaves makes a nice den
That's where she stops
I know it's a she because she's dull
The male species always is bright
I don't see him but I know he's there
In that thick row of leaves
They are f*****g away
Staining her dull hair
