When you love somebody

You cannot just make it stop

Even when they are no longer here

To spur things along.

Struggling throughout existence,

Fighting for each step forward

Seems to only pull you backward.

Sometimes God just says, "Stop.

Be still and know I am your God."

It's hard to keep tugging at the bit

And God is giving us the easy way.

Sometimes we just need to be still.

He'll let us know when it's time to move.
