Touch

Touch

A Poem by Sarah

Touch

You call my name through my window,

I know it’s you,

So quickly I run to you.

Your finger runs down my face.

I close the window.

I take a deep breath,

telling myself to breathe.

My head starts to wonder.

I start to think of all the times you hurt me.

About all the times you said you would be back,

then never came back.

I stare into your eyes.

I open it back up,

wanting to make this better.

You help me out,

of this horrid place.

Holding onto me,

like I deserve better.

So softly you touch my lips,

like I’m fragile.

I want to stay here in your arms forever.

Your touch,

makes my face turn red,

and my heart beat faster.

um, this is so wordy that it becomes boring.
I think the thought is good, and the effort is there, but it could be better.
