Running

Running

A Poem by bigballofwords

I have been running every day of my life.

I have run down rocky roads,

dark paths, shaky grounds

I have run uphill, around corners,

and right back to the beginning.

I have been running every day of my life.

I have run to the store to change my face,

my hair, my appearance.

I have run online to portray an image,

an idea, a personality.

I have been running every day of  my life,

from people, from places,

from putting pen to the paper.

I have run from my worst enemies

and my dearest friends.

I have been running every day of my life,

from my self, with my self,

and completely alone.
