Losing Your Hero

Who are you to run to

Whats there to say

What are you to do

When your hero's past away

You've lived your biggest fear

Wishing it didnt happen at all

You dont even shed any tears

Cause your too shocked for them to fall

You wonder about the future

And reminsce about the past

When you finally lost your hero

You think to your self and start to ask

Will i ever smile

Will i ever see my friend

You think for a while and ask your self again

You look for the answers

In your heart , mind, and soul

Thats the only thing you can do

When you've lost your hero

This poem was expressive. The way you describe your hero; seems really dear to you. I liked how you connected the hero & friend together. The loss of meaning is nicely depicted by the insecurity of the person who lost his/her hero.

Perhaps more background could allow the reader to sympathize and understand the bonds between you and your hero. So they could get this feeling of helplessness that you are feeling; by helping them step in your shoes.
