END OF A DREAM

END OF A DREAM

A Poem by Bill Grimes Jr.

Global woes
Whatever….
We reap as we have sown
Dire news
Crashing down
Haunting melody
Red dawn approaching
Bewildered eyes forced open
End of a dream to most
Blind to earthly fraud
Mans technology
Puffed up accomplishments
Mere droplets
Vast universe
Futile objections
To rational dissection
Artificial savvy
No match for divine intervention
Simple love
Uncontaminated
Made pure by Holy Spirit
The only way
As it is written
Hand of God
Gently on my shoulder
All I need this day
Multitudes
Shall never understand
Hypnotized masses
Ghastly consequence
Truth
Acquired through submission
Sincere humility
Courage at a premium
Faith in force unseen
Joy
Precisely where I seek it
A matter of personal choice
Be ever watchful
Anxious child of Yahweh
His glory draws nigh
No surprises here

We reap as we have sown

I love how you opened it. On the news we always hear about
how our planet is doing and stuff like that. God gave us possession
of this world to 'subdue' yet when we fail to turn to him in times of
trouble, and decide we're above him, they wonder why the world is also failing.
I luv how u always go for the throat in your pieces.

Be ever watchful
Anxious child of Yahweh
His glory draws nigh
No surprises here

I totally agree...no surprises here

Most sobering message representing the calamities of mankind worldwide. Yet in the end when time ceases to exist, what does it all really mean? Have we glorified Yahweh in everything we do or was it just for financial/worldly gain? I think the opening strength of this poem lies with the words, "we reap as we have sown" as you chronologically unfold all of which we are responsible for. Life is a dream and the true awakening is rapture. A powerful scribe.

His glory draws nigh...AMEN!!
I simply loved this-it so truthful, and eye opening
almost in a lyrical form (what I hear).
Nicely done!

I love this poem because it's message is so true. Unfortunately, most people would rather mantain the lies you are trying to dismantle.

excellent piece!

Very true statement, game over man,we are done for. As I see it all empires fall and america will just be the next fallen empire on the list. Very well written.
