Cedar

Cedar

A Poem by Footprints al carbon
"

#nationalpencilday for procrastinators

"
The smell of a tree
 embracing a core
 of carbon and clay,
 joined to a shiny band
 clasping the take away;

Bright sheen of color coats
 this recorder of notes,
 a sharp nose enjoys
 that which this writer employs,
 stories never before told
 the aroma of new meets old.

About
I'm a part time poet, usually during waking hours. An idea must be fed and put to bed in harmonic frequency as to the sun moving about the sky. Poetry is exhausting so burn clean my peoples. more..
