A Poem by Footprints al carbon
"

The question will drive you.

"
Who are you? This person,
Who is this person? This one
who is always one step ahead
     and in one sudden step,
behind.

Like a small bubble being carried by the currents,
     displacement but not disturbance;
just the thin skin of separation -
inside and outside.

Who are you who shines in the light?
     A swirling rainbow.
But disappears in the dark merely a happening that never happened,
the something that could have been in theory,
     if the equation worked everywhere,

     if only the equation worked
everywhere.

Who are you who made it all the way to the edge
and then could not find the other side?
The one that began only through beginnings,
     but could not ever truly
end.

Who are you all, one like the same
     and nothing alike?
Like the complex randomness in the pattern of numbers all
counting.

Who are you who writes your name
and believes
it?

About
I'm a part time poet, usually during waking hours. An idea must be fed and put to bed in harmonic frequency as to the sun moving about the sky. Poetry is exhausting so burn clean my peoples. more..
