city

city

A Poem by A|c|B

pigeons swiftly dart
among towering
steel monoliths

rodents scavenge
from rotting trash
left lying in the streets

the wail of sirens
a sudden spike in volume
from the white noise of traffic

dying streetlights
illuminate nocturnal crime
none can be inconvenienced

Dark little number.
Vivid snapshots comprise the metaphor, elicit the mood.
Unique and excellent work, A!
