THRONE AND APPLE

THRONE AND APPLE

A Poem by BINU VIKRAMAN
"

IS IS ABOUT HOW A BAD COMPANY SPOILS A GOOD ONE

"

A waxed shiny apple clad in elegant attire,
Grazed whenever possible all the maiden fertile fields,
It rolled and rolled disregarding the used up land,
Seeking another route at the very next day.

Picked up and placed ,by chance on a throne,
Whose jewels shine blinded the eyes,
Alas   ! apple neither see the throne nor its jewels,
Not even wanted to be seated once,
    Explored always the savage drains..

As years pass by ,the precious throne feels
It s like a begger s pitcher thrown to a corner
Jewels faded, cushions torned with no one wanting
Yet loved to carry the apple ever on its lap,
Vainly tried to show off its shines,
Wanted to polish all the jewels..

    Fed apple with the throne,
Whispered to it"YOU SPOILED ME B***H"
