I Dreamt, a sonnet

I Dreamt, a sonnet

A Poem by Willia Blakes
"

Ne'er shall I forget the promise I made to thee.

"

Tonight I dreamt of all the little things

Your touch, your smile, your eyes, your kiss

Only, for once, my heart refused to sing

It's these, and more, about you that I miss

But as the moon shines behind the clouds dry

Restless from pouring rain during the day

As so are my eyes who refuse to cry

For tears don't water the flowers of May

Tonight as I lay my head, thoughts lucid

With a heart heavy, pumping, boom it sounds

I see a kingdom, nothing can move it

A king and his queen, united and crowned

I recall my promise, it still holds true

Until I can, once more, return to you

About
I go by the pseudonym Willia Blakes pulled from the name of my favorite poet, William Blake. I write what I feel. I don't have a specific genre, per se. more..
