Enchantment Of Owls

Enchantment Of Owls

A Poem by Black Cat Fever

Small owls haunting
Seeping into my dreams
I hear them calling
Voices echoing across the misty forest
Deep into winter
I hear them
Small translucent owls
I wake and seek
Out into the dark winter forest
The full moon shines
Everything is shadowed
Everything is lit and sparkling
I hear the owl's voices
Calling to me
I go to them
My haunting spirits of the forest
Small owls enchanting
I cannot resist
Deep into their magic realm I go
Wondering
If I will ever find my way back
and asking myself
Do I really want to go back?

Owls are birds of mystery. In the Native American belief. A owl at your window mean death is near. I'm old school Ojibwa and would allowed the owls to know their own peace. A interesting tale. Nature and her life in the forest allowed us to create myth and story. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Thank you Miss Owl.
As if a spell of enchantment had been placed upon the forest and you happily walked into it. The owls are the symbol of the wild magic of the place. A very enjoyable read for sure.

A very enchanting and mysterious tale. The forest calls to his, call of the wild, and we humans can hear that call if we let ourselves I believe. I often wish I could just wander off freely into the wilds of the great forests of the Pacific Northwest.

Impressive poem. I sure enjoyed reading this.

I'm always fascinated by owls and ravens and so forth. You have penned a really good one here:
"My haunting spirits of the forest
Small owls enchanting
I cannot resist
Deep into their magic realm I go
Wondering"
