Fly

All she wants is to fly;

Like the birds that spread their wings,

up in that expanse of sky.

She looks up, eyes wide,

and simply yearns to fly.

 

Up above the world,

away from all the pain.

No longer locked down,

her life no longer a chain.

 

She wishes to run away,

she wishes to be free.

On the wings of an angel,

on ther hymn of a dream.

 

She is just barely numb.

There is no need for her cries.

And from the top of that building,

Finally, she flies.
