Daughter to Father

Daughter to Father

A Poem by Blair
"

A poem that I wrote a while back, about something I wish I could tell my dad.

"
Memories of screams, fighting and tears
Please tell me why you had to go
and get addicted to beer
You are tearing our family apart
But now I must ask you
if you had to choose between liquor
and breaking mom and I's hearts
who would you choose?
You made that decision once
I know you chose us
But as time went on
You started f*****g going back to the bars
The money is gone
We never did you wrong
Why couldn't you at least stick to the bong
When I was little and this s**t would go down
I would just get sad
I didn't like to see mommy mad
but now I understand
and when you're drunk you have no luck of cheering me up
so what the f**k
If I were you I would sure hate screwing up
You may think it's fine but it's really not
that doesn't change the fact though
that I'm your only child
and My Girl will always be our song
sincerely, your loving daughter
