Speaking from My Heart

someone I like, not sure if I really like them, but then again I get butterflies when I think about them.

I can't explain what it is,

and how I feel about you.

I'm so confused,

I'm not sure if it's true. 

I need it to be clear,

or else I'm gonna go insane. 

I'm the one who runs away from it,

when I know I can't deny you. 

It's how I feel for you,

but I'm not ready to say anything. 

Maybe I'll know when to tell you,

or it'll lie there idle forever. 

I can't explain how I fee yet,

I hope you feel the same. 

Sometimes I wonder if you think of me that way,

or if I'm just a girl to you. 

If I could hug you for just one moment,

I'd be all right. 

Maybe I shouldn't rush too fast into liking someone,

in the past thats how I've gotten hurt. 

There's something about you though,

that makes me get butterflies. 

Maybe I'll tell you soon,

or I'll keep it idle forever.

I like the poem. Ain't easy to open your heart and door to someone. I like the feel and the story in your poem. Fear is a safety and sometime our downfall. I like the set-up of the poem. Made the poem a pleasure to read. A excellent poem.
