Seasonal Love

Seasonal Love

A Poem by Moth Phoenix
"

I love to write love poems!

"
The sun is shining today,
can you hear the baby birds?
The grass is prickly on my back.
I feel you grip my hand tight,
the sun provides a warm blanket.
your arms are my safe haven.

Tomorrow comes the rain,
no baby birds will sing.
The bed covers caress my skin,
the warmth of your body excites me.
Your voice provides me with a lullaby,
stuck inside with you is a sanctuary .

Soon there will be the snow,
the crackling of fires in the distance.
The cold air turns my nose red,
we laugh and frolic in the snow.
You hold me close as the snow begins to fall,
no other place I'd rather be.

Nothing like love to provide the greatest shelter... I took your weather terms as metaphorical ways of life from happy times to bad times and how sticking together makes everything alright. A really beautiful piece.
