Spiralling Love

Spiralling Love

A Poem by SJ

Love, hate, passion and fate

One minute you’re walking tall

The next you’re falling beyond all control

If it wasn’t for the glint in your eyes

That shot me to the skies

My heart wouldn’t be breaking

And this smile I wouldn’t be faking

I just wish I was the one on your mind at night

And during the day we didn’t fight

Saying things we didn’t mean

Believing what everyone else has seen

I know I’ve had my chance

But really you shouldn’t have shot me that glance

Do you know the feelings I have inside when you say my name?

How can you play with my heart like it’s a game?

Boy do you have no shame

Following my every step

With love you don’t have time to prep
