Desire

Desire

A Poem by Brenden Taylor

For humans, desire can toll

a sense of success of the soul;

but death will begin

with the meaning of sin:

desire that's out of control.

This might be the most concise version of the Garden of Eden I've ever "heard" as well as the most somber limmerick I've ever read. So much so, that I didn't notice it was a limmerick the first time I read it. Such a good write. Thanks for sharing.

This is really nice. A warning not to let things go to far.
