Glass, well stretched

Glass, well stretched

A Poem by uwm
"

I was thinking about domestic violence and wrote this.

"

expired bits of sand

collect-

as she bares

his bitterness

penetrating-

testing her tolerance.

this exhausting life

is glass, well stretched

swelling-

as the stage goes from

dark to black,

her ears become eyes-

and for the first time

she sees him.

knowing

it will be her last

memory-

this broken man.

laughing-

as he tops

her off
