summer's night eve

summer's night eve

A Poem by bobby

My mind often travels in the shadows of death

as small boats adrift at sea on an ethereal ocean

Transient vapors run adrift and I sleep again

On the summer’s night eve

In the crib of my Father's hands

Softly he speaks his peace …like a river

My soul drowns in his wakeful sighing

Sweet dying I’ve laid down a thousand times

I really love this piece. It definitely has a dreamy feel to it and is vague, not clearly stated, which is something I look for in poetry. It makes it more intriguing and mind-bending. I absolutely love the vocabulary you have used in this as well. They sound like words I would use, actually. If you are interested, please feel free to take a look at my poetry. Again, Well done! I cannot wait to read more of your writing.

A melancholis swell of words! Well done...succinct and moving.
