Broken

If only he knew.

Shaking, from head to toe,

Escaping, tauting memories,

Fainting, every time,

Beating, my heart without a rhyme.

 

Missing, the one I love,

Needing, to hear his voice,

Wanting, to smell his scent,

Dying, to see his smile.

 

I miss you too,

And I cry for you,

No smile this time,

When I think of you.

 

Only tears on my face,

Please help me brace

Myself, come take my disgrace

And fill me with grace.

 

You promised you’d be,

Whatever happens to me.

Frail when I see you,

But I can’t help not smile,

 

You’re YOU!

 

“You fill up my life with brightness,

With you what never exists is darkness,

You make me smile and show me emotions,

My love for you is greater than any ocean.

 

You light my sky with stars,

You shine my darkness with fire,

You take away all my scars,

Replacing them with deep desire.”

 

I love you,

And yet I grieve.

Look at your smile,

Beautiful, yet you don’t believe.

This is bitter sweet. It's dangerous making the one's we love the center of our world, it gives them a power they don't want. I'm reminded of some of my own past poems which now cause me to grin.
There's so much emotional agony felt in this piece and it's so genuine..
Rather it's from your own heart or that of imagination, it get's the point across :)
