Two Sides

Two Sides

A Poem by K.

Open doors and open windows.
Sneaking out and staying late.
Closed doors and closed windows.
Sleeping in and staying quiet.

Closed doors and open windows.
Whispering words and waining kisses.
Open doors and closed windows.
Waiting for you and walking about.

Unmade beds.
Hugs and kisses and smiles.
Made beds.
Written words never sent and sleepless nights and angry thoughts.

"I'll see you tomorrow, I love you."
"I'm sorry for what I did, just come back and I can fix it, I promise. I love you."

Author's Note

K.
I'm not too sure about this poem/thing, but I wrote it real quick because I was bored and hated logging on here without putting something up. I guess I took it as a two sides of a relationship, hence the title, or maybe like a before and after of some event; I can see it both ways.

Hope y'all enjoy it and as always, please leave comments, suggestions, etc!

You left the reader to ponder on thoughts and actions. The goal of the writer. The above lines are amazing. I could write a complete poem from those thoughts. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

If you writing something real quick produces this you have real talent. The open and closed in asymmetry works well for me.

Love it.

There are always two perspectives, sides, stories... Understanding is important, communication and transparency often are hard to come by. I like the push / pull...

I love the ending of your poetry. Very thought-invoking. It clearly displays that how much you loved someone. Whatever mess you done with love, you craved for making it correct, fixing it all till end so you longed to have everything back even the love that once you let go cause... you thought it'll bring you hurt. Wonderful title you've chosen to your write! It defines... implies the real nice meaning of what your heartfelt/melancholy but loving/caring thoughts're 'bout. Great job, Kess!

That's how love should be; it's always more important to be making love in the bed than worrying about what the damn thing looks like when nobody is around!
"I'm sorry for what I did." or said. Words are like machetes; in the wrong hands, somebody's life can be ruined.
Good job, Kassie.
