LEISENRING, PENNSYLVANIA -

a shithole little town in the middle of nowhere.
a haven for coal miners and people trying to
get away from anything interesting or civilized.
a place where every other pickup truck you see
(and there are a lot of them) there's a confederate
flag painted on their license plate. and somehow,
the town that the yearly competition, provocative!
chose to host their contest. provocative! is a music
competition. every year it takes in five undiscovered,
small-town bands and gives them the chance to
get their music out there. understandably, the town
is fuller than it's ever been before - not only are
the five bands experiencing a surge of popularity
from everyone from the scenesters to the hollister
herd, but there's more technology and big-town
people than this town has seen in a long time.
leisenring might finally earn a place on the map.
