war horse

A Poem by boston house kitten

in the shadow of the flag they lay
singing tunes of judgement day
a sorry broken down lament
" all our men are lost and weapons spent"

and few have spent what all will pay
 broken bands and refugees
no one left to recompense
" all our men are lost and weapons spent"

in the deepest of shadows here i lay
waiting for night to flee from day
and softly creep into the morn
to survey how many necks be shorn

and if morn should burst into night
i'll wake them up to join the fight
in shadows creep what fear portends
the battle doth never end

in the shadow of the flag we lay
singing tunes of judgement day
a sorry broken down lament
" all our men are lost and weapons spent"
" all our men are lost and weapons spent"
