lights

lights

A Poem by boyearth

9.30.16
in, out
up, down
chests heave,
waves crash.
the sky is bright
with thousand-year-old lights,
passing by like fireworks,
bright and steady.
hearts pounding,
grins swelling
backs on wet grass.
are we really there?
blink and you'll miss it,
think and you'll forget.
moments seeming like hours ago,
movements but a silhouette.
there's no plan, no
way of knowing for sure.
just a carpe diem and a
'til we meet again.
