Take a Shot

Take a Shot

A Poem by Toby
"

What doesn't kill me, will only make me stronger (in my head).

"

sometimes he finds it easier to forget,
drowning sorrows in a stronger shot of alcohol.

not that it matters anymore,
what happens from here,

he's only goin' down,
and no one's extending their hand to pull him up again.

he felt her there, behind him smiling,
felt him there too, but he never showed his face.

where do you turn, when all you've got left
is the sins of a past life, and your reflection?
