Trust, Truth and Sanity, Tossed

Trust, Truth and Sanity, Tossed

A Poem by Screaming Soul
"

When truth, trust and sanity have become elusive

"

Trust, Truth and Sanity, Tossed

Rewriting the receipt of trust,

Reevaluating the understanding of truth,

Accepting that sanity is tossed.

No longer an automatic reflex,

The glossary does not hold

Nor does the mind easily envelope these things.

So I go to the source

Of the giver and creator

Who holds me together.

For I cannot make anything work

In the realm of lies and blame

Please place me in righteousness.

You are my simplest solution

But cannot avail yourself to me.

It was you that made my world work.

I sit in a spinning eddy

In a turbulent river

Once warned not to cross

Reason is turning into justification

Of false fronts and veneers

That can never let anyone in.

Inside and beside me are

The unknown adversaries

Of my spirit and temple.

Arcane are the answers which

Hold my plans immobile

Toward any relief or respite.

So I wait and wonder when

Trust, truth and sanity will be

Made clear to me maybe for the first time.

I think this is one of those pieces i could read a few times and still not completely understand. I've never been a great fan of poetry, but this poem is almost lyrical. I really enjoyed reading it.
