Her Foolish Misktake

Her Foolish Misktake

A Poem by Brandilee Cardente
"

A women Falls Under A Man

"

I remember the day he came into our lives
he took you away, cut your soul with a knife.
He took away my attention,
and used it for his every intention.

I never ever did anything bad,
I was a good girl, never sad.
You even forgot your little boy,
you treated him like a broken toy.

Deep inside I loved you so,
but now I know I'm not in control.
Inside and out I still love you,
but now I know that I can't trust you.

Mommy's don't forget about their children,
they bend down, pick up, love and hold them.
A Daughter doesn't forget about her mother,
but now I'm going to leave, and take my brother.

It's amazing you never told me about my father,
but what's the point in asking you, why bother?
Why did you treat me like a dog,
inside and out, clouded by the fog?

I'm going to laugh when you find your being used,
and then on the inside, you'll become abused.
But I can't make you see what you want to see,
because I know that now I'll never be.

Everyone around you could see through that facade,
but you were the one fooled by confusion.
He took you away,
and left me astray.

How does it feel to be a fool,
forever in doubt, a misused tool?
How does it feel to be misplaced,
forever lost, a sad disgrace?

Just remember when it's all over,
that you can call me, I'll come over.
But if you choose that man over me,
always remember, that into your soul, I can see.

And if this man makes you his wife,
just remember, I banned you from my life.
And if you have this man's child,
I'll lose all control, forever wild.

To this day, it pains me to say this,
but you entrusted Satan's kiss.
And if you shun me for the words that I say,
just remember, you wanted to play.

I just couldn't believe you ran under a man,
addicted to drugs, and never gave a helping hand.

Just remember in the next life,
you abused the piper, you paid the price
