I have never loved

The way the actors do in the movies

Or as my parents try to portray.

It all seems transparent and meaningless

It all seems trivial.

I have thought forever,

That we as humans are just creatures

Driven by lust

Hungering for that physical attraction--

A connection with another person

Is it real?

Are their intentions what they say they are?

Are we all lead by some false delusion?

Or do we choose to feed the lust that builds within us

And cushion it with what we call love; infatuation

I am not bitter

I truly just have never had such an emotion

Such a passion; for a person at least.

I shed doubt upon others emotions.

Because we are all truly the same.

Because we are creatures of lustful habit.

truly how you feel, inside.
but I love everything about this poem.
my entire life, I've never understand love.
and not just the lustfull kind, but everything about it.
sometimes everything about it seems as if it's illusion.
