The Real Vision is NO DIVISION

Writing this poem brought tears to my eyes. Knowing all the chaos happening in the world, we should all be one.

So people are attacked simply for the color of their skin.
The attackers have no sympathy and attack simply because they believe it's revenge.
Those who single out the different have yet to find the real reason to live.
Everyone is different but we're all the same, we have blood pumping vein to vein.
We all dream, we all stride, but all that is impeded by figuring out ways to survive.
Society is crashing and so are our dreams.
Hope is lost at every single crime scene.
Empathy is forgotten and apathy is winning.
Where does this all stop.
Can we have a new beginning?
My friends are scared, my family is too.
Just the fact of of being different shouldn't be an issue.
My DNA is mixed so I will never pick a side.
I believe in only one race, and that is the human race,
which we should NEVER divide.
