words of a poet

words of a poet

A Poem by Latifa
"

with this poem i wanted to capture the poet feelings toward the world and his own words

"
I am the poet , I am the writer
I play the universal symphony to make things brighter
I listen to the rhythmic melodies , i behold the world with pondering eyes
i plunge my being into the hollow , i flee my spirit to the skies
the universe's whispers into my ears
the strikes of the thunder, the man tears
the hissing of the grass , the ripples of the water
the signals of the stars , the creeps of the shadow
the beaming of the sun , the veil of the night
i listen
i write
my words are my riddance
my words are my fury
my words are my joy
my words are my aching
my words are ME
those words are to be recited at the most glorious moment , are to be recited at every moment
those words are to be engraved , are to be dug into the mighty stones of wisdom , the mighty stones of virtue
they shall be forever recited
the shall be forever remembered

yes..very good
I think it might be better if the rhymes were disguised more as it comes across as free verse and the rhyming sort of gets in the way...GREAT coming from me as I rhyme almost all of the time...Still a very good write though

thank you dear for your kind words means the world coming from a great poet such as your self
There are those times I don't know what I write.(really) There are those times I don't know why I write. There are times I write with purpose and times just to frolic in the verse. At twenty-one you've written what I couldn't figure at seventy. Thank Latifa. Oh, i think this an excellent write in content and style. Tom

Nice job, notice you stop the rhyme scheme in the middle, might be worth putting it all into free verse and adding some punctuation..
