Commandments

Commandments

A Poem by Latifa
"

trust,believe and be patient

"
thou shalt not stride upon the pebbles timidly
thou shalt embed  the iron feet and crack the pebbles
thou shalt not fear the power of the wonder
thou shalt wonder and yield to ponder
thou shalt not hook your neck to the noose of dubiety
thou shalt touch the celestial roofs of faith
thou shalt not question the wisdom of divinity
thou shalt hand your liberty to the caring providence
thou shalt not surrender to the urging velleity
thou shalt crave to the untouchable blessing of serenity

I see the wisdom in your "new" commandments, other than perhaps in seven and eight which seem to divest the individual of his free will, which God has not done. You are wise beyond your years, Latifa. Great job!

Some good advice. Loved the inclusiveness of this last line. Beautiful.

thank you for the read friend
God uses those wonderful edicts for ethics and law which governs individuals and societies in the Bible or the Koran. The first 5 commandments in the Torah deal with our relationship with God and the other 5 deal with our relationships with each other. I hope you are not competing with God here ( lol just kidding ) but you are complimenting those great ones...A splendid work...:)...

Your use of the formal second person plural gives this a a biblical character, this a revised ten commandments, fine idea, like this.
