Secret Garden

Secret Garden

A Poem by The Tao of Bri
"

My manifesto after my divorce

"

“The Secret Garden”

I’ve sown the seeds while dancing

in the cleansing rain

under skies full of thunder and lightning.

I’ve spread the word into the Universe,

the full moon rising,

a call to my Lady Love, for whom I search.

I’ve smudged the hallowed ground from all the pain,

tilled the fertile earth,

and reset the karmic balance again.

Patience-Reticence-Deliverance

Live, Learn, Let it go.

The secret garden is now closed,

dormant for a new harvest to grow.

The One has the key-she will know

how to open the gate and add her seeds

to the rows.

I think that's what I need to do, too.
Smudge...
It's been awhile.

I've been in a kind of limbo for four years now.
Two, for sure.

I may follow your lead with this one!
It's just had to start over, sometimes, after
divorce & death.

I needed to read this; thank you.

Peace n Light,
Wicahpi

this is well written and expressed in a way I'm sure most people can relate to the meaning in one way
or another, beautifully done with some great imagery, thanks for sharing.

Powerful and full of thoughts and images that surround those who have learned, loved, lost . . . and let go.

Your gift of the written word never ceases to amaze this poetess.

The Secret Garden was/is one of my favorite stories. The idea of closing off something and then at the right time someone else discovers it and is able to harvest what was dormant is quite a powerful metaphor for what people/you go through in a divorce. I supposed while healing it is best to secret a bit of ourselves away until we are ready to grow again. Lovely poem :)

Another lovely write about longing and looking for that special 'One' - I am familar with this scenerio as I have written alot about it myself. Your words are quite sincere and the succinct nature of your poem adds to its strength. Thank you once again for sharing.

Strong metaphor in this poem. Loved the ending.
