Rapture

Rapture

A Poem by Joe

I took a train to the end of time
The railroad caved after it's prime
And the ground opened up far below
What lies beneath no one knows

The canyon walls plagued with flames
The fire held like picture frames

I needed a Savior to help me out
I prayed to God to cleanse my doubt
He answered with a voice so calm
"This shall all pass and darkness shall be no more"

So I thought about his response with great concern
Why must this worldly gift be destined to burn
The angels reached down with gracious hands
To lift me up from the descending land

I know somehow things will remain
And the hopes I had will suffer no pain
The trials we face are nothing in comparison
To the faith we present from deep within

This moment of bliss and emptiness
Holds me close to the notion of hope
The Heavens open up above and I see the Cherubim
This is a love I have never felt from within

This is Rapture
No more Sin
This is Rapture
And life has yet to begin...
