Arcade Games

A Poem by Brisa Watkins
"

This is a poem about my first love

"
I wonder in what point of time roads were painted in lines,
Was it before the love of my life was burred or alive?
An amazing captive dead zone under rocks and sediment to never be unknown,
or standing with a beer at the end of a lifetime of grown?

I would fantasize about where our times would be,
Or what you would being doing years from now, with or without me

But I know now, I'm not exactly what your planned for,
As you were teasing with a blonde girl in the next door,
Then you pulled down her pants and fucked her as she screamed for more,

God, I was so pissed at you,
Was I even your love for once or were you just bored and looking for something new?

This was long ago, though,
You prayed at my feet and begged that you could sew it all together again.

Stop trying to put dimes in arcade games.
