Every Minute Between Us

Every Minute Between Us

A Poem by K L B
"

Distance and Love

"

I miss the way you emit your own fluorescence,
soft and hazy
like poetic justice.
I tingle when you touch me with your words,
your light and glow seeping
from the gentle rustle of your breathing.
I want to hold your head in my hands
until my fingers fuse with your skin
and I'm touching all of the places
you've never let anybody in.

Leave the ants to their breadcrumbs
I have no need for dividing lines
whenever you're involved,
because every minute between us
feels like a splinter in the universe
and the way I miss you leaves me cold.
