Death

Death

A Poem by ayehaibrookie

Dark voices in the allies,
The chill of the air,
The coldness in the summer breeze,
I feel it breathing there.

It's lonely feel surrounds me,
It's empty heart caves in,
It's withering soul corrupts me,
And I feel alive again.

For this is a warning,
To those who don't know,
Don't go with death,
For it is a long way to go.

Really nice piece. It has strong imagery, especially in the first stanza. I like this entire poem, but I really like what you say in the last stanza, "For this is a warning, to those who don't know, don't go with death, for its a long way to go." The rhyme in that one is really well placed, really emphasizes your message. The context of this poem reminds me of a few of my own poems.
