Lost LightA Poem by Omer ZamanThis poem correlates humanity and humans. How an inborn good nature and character is what this world needs the most.
The land weeps, and the sorrow is what it reaps. It is our flight for the lost light.
For desolate is our soul, and lacking mercy is our call. We look for God's might in the lost light. We know no compassion. We hear all temptation. For a smile is worth more than a worldly pile. And in this while, we fight for the lost light. We admire our heart's desire, while the light is quashing our inner fire. It is then we know worth of a cheerful sweet briar. On your quest, enquire the blighted liar to let the lost light inspire. I stand victorious, as I have seen from the heights, that you my brother are the light in white. You stand where happiness abides, you stand there where no sadness resides. It is by you, the lands are healing, the tides are wheeling, the souls are feeling, sympathy is no longer concealing. May this world still fight for this might. For I have found the lost light. © 2015 Omer ZamanAuthor's Note
