A widow's poem

I wait during the day

I wait during the night

I wait all day long and through night time

Will you not come?

You promised you'd be back

You promised it was only for a while

You promised we would never be so far apart 

Will you not come?

The house is empty without your laughter

My heart is void without your presence

Your photos are all i have left of you

And that is not even much

I wait for you, my dearest

Will you not come?
